Many individuals diagnosed with ADHD display motor challenges that may not receive proper assessment and intervention as more emphasis is placed on the cognitive and behavioural issues associated with this diagnosis. This webinar will discuss the prevalence and nature of motor challenges, and explore the potential for the co-occurrence of Developmental Coordination Disorder, in this population. Dr Tamplain will explain how assessment tools such as the Movement ABC-3 and BOT-3 can be useful in detecting motor concerns when working with individuals with ADHD.
Continuing Education
This webinar will discuss age-related changes in motor performance in autistic and non-autistic children, examining diagnostic group differences and subgroup differences.
Autism and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) share many similar behavioural-level motor features, however the underlying neuromotor mechanisms of these two conditions may differ. Join this webinar to explore the relationship between motor features of autism and DCD, learn how these features manifest across the lifespan, and discuss implications for clinical practice.
