Douglas M. Dunn, PhD
Douglas M. Dunn, PhD, the son of Lloyd and Leota Dunn, is the co-author of the PPVT-4 scale. He holds a doctoral degree in Statistics and Business from the University of Michigan. For the first 8 years of his professional career, he conducted research at the Mathematics Research Center of Bell Laboratories (Murray Hill, NJ), with an emphasis on time series analysis and graphical methods as well as robust/resistant statistical techniques.
Subsequently, he held regional, regulatory, and strategy positions at AT&T. From 1996 to 2002, he was the Dean of the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (now the Tepper School of Business) at Carnegie Mellon University. During his tenure there, he focused in particular on the increased use of information technology and communication networks to enhance the educational opportunities of students and faculty.
