Introduction
- The RAP offers a discount on test materials and scoring services (applicable to all quantity level prices) for approved research studies conducted in Australia or New Zealand.
- The proposed project should be a non-commercial, potentially publishable, well-designed research study that will be of interest to others in the field. In general, program evaluation studies do not qualify because program evaluation is one of the standard applications of tests and because such research is not focused on providing new information about the tests.
- Products that Pearson distributes but does not publish, do not qualify for the discount. Nor do already-discounted items like combo kits.
- The researcher (or a member of the research project team) must meet the Pearson user qualification requirements for the tests used in the research project.
- The RAP grants a one-time discount for the test materials and scoring services specified in the original application. Researchers should include in their original application all of the materials and scoring services they expect to need for the project. A new application is required if additional materials or scoring services are needed.
- The reproduction or translation of tests is prohibited under the RAP. Use of tests in any way other than the way they are published by Pearson, requires prior written consent and is subject to a fee. For information on licensing permissions please see: Permissions and Licencing.
- The research must have Ethics Approval before we can consider a request for assistance
- The researcher agrees to provide a report of the study results to Pearson.
- The maximum amount (full retail value) for which the discount may apply for digital assessments is AUD$5,000.
- Retroactive applications are not honored, and no returns, credits, or exchanges are allowed.
- Shipping charges may apply and will be calculated based on the discounted total (this includes standard, expedited, and other shipping charges).
Applications are reviewed by Pearson Clinical Assessment within four to six weeks.
If your application is successful, a discount code will be issued, and this code must be quoted on your purchase order or order form.
Purchase and Use of Pearson Products
Pearson Clinical requires all applicants to register with us first. Registration is quick and easy and can be completed online. Each registered user is assigned a User Level which (a) allows you to place an order, and (b) establishes which materials are available to you to purchase.
Discounts
Discounts can only be offered for Pearson-published products. Research discounts are not applicable on distributed products, combo kits. The discount offered applies only to products initially assessed for the research and cannot be used for any additional items.
If a discount is offered to you, a discount code will be issued and this code must be quoted on your purchase order or order form.
