Your new dashboard has been designed for greater usability and makes it easier for you to find what you need and get to where you need to go.

Assessment details page

The updated details page enables you:

See all the information you need, including assessment duration
Easily edit examinee information and your test battery from one screen

Improved notes

More functionality has been added to the “Notes” feature, including its incorporation into the item screens.

The new app lets you:

Delete a note
Mark a note as important
Adjust the opacity of a note to see content underneath
Move a note around your screen

Results screen

View results with ease in the new app! You can hover or open subtests and composites to view more information, and there’s also a new visual representation of subtest scaled and composite scores.

DK/NR autoscoring

When an examinee doesn’t know the answer or gives no response, simply tap the DK/NR button and it automatically scores that item as zero.

Responsive corrective feedback

The presentation of Responsive Corrective Feedback dynamically changes depending on the examinee’s response or score for training and trial items.

Already a Q-interactive user?

Here’s what you need to do to transition to Assess 2.0:

Remove all fully completed cases from the legacy Assess app on your iPad(s) back to qiactive.com
Delete the legacy Assess app (once all completed assessments are removed)
Install the new Q-interactive Assess app from the Apple App Store.
Log in to the new Assess app using your existing Qi username and password and download the content
Access the updated online training via the Support tab of qiactive.com and utilise practice mode to familiarise yourself with the workflow of the new app
Complete your transition to the updated app by 29 April 2024 - the original app will not be usable after this date.

Frequently Asked Questions about the new Assess App

Why are you changing the Assess App?

The legacy application of Q-interactive® Assess is ten years old. The app contains heavily customised code which is maintenance heavy and prohibitive to next generation test development. The new version of Assess contains a modern code base that allows for fluid development, better performance, and a much-improved customer experience.

When is the new app being released?

Is the Q-interactive website changing?

Is there a cost difference with the app?

Can I use the same login with the new app?

Can I have both the Legacy and new Assess app on the same iPad at the same time?

We don’t recommend having both applications on the device at the same time. Doing so may create opportunities for confusion and the potential for examinee data to end up from Q central on the unintended app. Please follow the transition plan and finish evaluations with the Legacy app, sync with Q central, delete the examinee data from the Legacy app, and then delete the Legacy app BEFORE you install the new Assess app.

Are there any changes to my data?

There will be no changes to the secure storage of data. You can continue to access assessment data safely and securely within the Q-interactive website (qiactive.com). Please note that all data on the iPad created while using the Legacy Q-interactive App will need to be synched with the Q-interactive website BEFORE the old app is deleted. If not, that data on the iPad will be lost and will not be able to be recovered once the app is deleted from the iPad.

How long will I have access to the old app?

The legacy application of Assess will be retired, no longer supported, and no longer available for download on 29 April 2024. At that time, you will no longer be able to download a test administration from the Q-interactive website to the legacy app. We strongly encourage all users to complete all test administrations, sync any remaining test data, and delete the old application before 29 April 2024.

What will happen to my in-progress administrations?

You can complete any in-progress test administrations by 29 April 2024. We strongly encourage all practitioners to complete their in-progress test sessions, sync all data, and delete the legacy application before using the new Assess app. This will eliminate the inadvertent deletion of data or confusion about which app contains your in-progress assessments.

Are there any new tests that will only be available in the new Assess app?

How can I access training for the new Q-interactive app?

How long can I use the current Assess app?

Will I still have access to the same library of tests on the new app?

Yes, in most cases you will still have access to all the tests in your current license and some new ones! We will be retiring a few of our older tests. CMS®, WISC®–IV, PPVT™-4, and CVLT®-II will not be available on the new Assess app. These tests all have newer versions available and will continue to be available on the new app. We encourage you to begin using the newest versions of these tests.
